PRE-CARE APPOINTMENT

  • Two weeks prior to your appointment, please stop the use of any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area.
  • Any waxing or brow shaping should be done at least two days before.
  • If brows are tinted regularly, tint at least one week prior to the procedure.
  • Cosmetic Botox or fillers should be done three weeks prior or two weeks after.
  • NO consumption of alcohol, caffeine, or consumption of any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin) 48 hours before the procedure. This will cause excess bleeding and may affect results.
  • You may come in for your appointment with how the eyebrows are normally drawn to give me an idea of what you prefer.
  • You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during the menstrual cycle.
  • You must stop the consumption of Fish Oil seven days before your appointment.

Cosmetic tattoos take between four to fix weeks to fully heal. At this time, you may receive a touch-up if any color has faded, or if you would like to add more definition to your tattoo.

You may experience slight swelling and redness the day of the procedure; this is normal and typically fades within 24-48 hours. At this point, you may take Tylenol if you feel any pain, but please avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen as it can cause blood thinning.

  • Let the eyebrow tattoo DRY HEAL FOR 24-48 HOURS after the procedure
  • Use Saline wipes or a cotton pad with Iukewarm water to gently clean the brow tattoo two to three times a day after the procedure to keep the eyebrow tattoo clean for about three to four days.
  • After the 24-48 hours healing period lightly moisturize your brow tattoo if itchy or excessively dry with aftercare balm.
  • DO NOT go on any sunny vacations and avoid high sun exposure during the healing process, UV Rays can alter the pigment of the tattoo.
  • DO NOT use cleansers, soaps, or any other creams on your brow tattoo. Wash around the area using a cleaning cloth or makeup wipe.
  • DO NOT exercise and sweat for 10 days. Sweat contains salt and can infect and prematurely fade the color.
  • DO NOT run direct water on your brow in order to avoid washing out pigment.
  • DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin, or any petroleum-based products on the area.
  • DO NOT use any makeup, creams, peels, on the brows for two weeks.
  • DO NOT go into sauna's, pools, or steam rooms.
  • DO NOT get massages, facials, or skin treatments during the healing process.
  • DO NOT go tanning, and if you do cover your eyebrow tattoo.
  • DO not use peels, retinol acids, or AHA's on the area for 30 days after the appointment, it will fade your tattoo prematurely.
  • DO not use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo. This can darken, lighten, and distort the pigment.

WHAT ARE COMBO BROWS?

This technique combines both microblading and powder eyebrows. The microblading gives dimension and density while the shading part gives definition and saturation.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that allows artists to drastically correct, enhance, or fully reconstruct an eyebrow. Eyebrow microblading is performed by manually depositing pigment under the top layer of the skin by a special hand tool. It does not involve the use of a machine. Unlike other permanent cosmetic eyebrow treatments, the microblading technique involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that are more natural-looking. If you get keloid scarring, this treatment will NOT be suitable for you.

DOES IT HURT?

The pain level is subjective to each individual. Numbing is given throughout the entire process to help ease any discomfort. On average, most people say it’s about a 3-5 (pain scale from 1-10) with numbing. People have also said the microblading hurts more than ombre powder brows; however, it will vary with each individual. Extra Strength Tylenol can be taken after the procedure to help with any pain.

WILL MICROBLADING WORK WELL FOR ME BASED ON MY SKIN TYPE/TONE?

Small pores/dry skin (comparable to a grape) – microblading will work well with this skin type.

Small pores/oily, dry, normal, or combination skin - microblading will work well with these skin types.

Large pores/thick oily skin – The skin texture and constant production of oil will cause the hair strokes to heal more blurred and diffused. This skin type can be worked on; however, you must be aware that your strokes will be more blurred and diffused versus crisp strokes. It is suggested to do ombre powder brows or combo brows.

Super-thin, soft, hypersensitive skin. This type of skin bleeds VERY easily, has a harder time healing, and may develop scars and infections easily. **Microblading will NOT work well with this skin type and London's Brows by Elizabeths prefers not to work on this type of skin. It is suggested to do ombre powder brows.

Darker skin tone – This skin tone can definitely be worked on; however, you must be aware that strokes might not be as contrasted on darker skin tones. It is suggested to do ombre powder brows or combo brows.

CAN I TAKE AN ALLERGY TEST?

Yes, you can come in at least one week prior to your appointment to take an allergy test. Please note that since a small area is tested, it may not truly reveal if you will be allergic since some people develop allergies due to the quantity of a product(s).

WHAT IF I BLEED A LOT?

Pinpoint bleeding is expected during the procedure, but please note that if you are a bleeder (no matter what skin type you are), bleeding skin will dilute the pigment and your healed strokes will not be as pronounced. What this means is that you might need more than one touch up to achieve the desired results. The technician will not be able to assess whether or not you are a bleeder until the procedure has started.

CAN WE COVER UP OR REMOVE AN OLD TATTOO DONE BY ANOTHER ARTIST?

Please email a picture of your previous tattoo and I will decide if I'm able to go over it. On some occasions, I will have you come in for an in-person consultation to determine if I'm able to make adjustments and assess what your goals are. If the former tattoo is dark, extremely uneven, or dramatic in shape, we may not be able to achieve your exact desired shape, symmetry, or color. If London's Brows by Elizabeth LLC agrees to move forward, multiple sessions may be required and no results are guaranteed.

IF I HAVE GOTTEN MY BROWS DONE ELSEWHERE, WILL I BE ABLE TO GET THE TOUCH-UP RATE?

Working on top of other artists’ work can be challenging and time-consuming; therefore, all new clients are considered a new service. Only once you have become a client of London's Brows by Elizabeth, LLC you will be granted the touch-up.

DO I STILL HAVE TO WAX/TWEEZE/THREAD AFTERWARDS?

Yes, you will still have to remove hairs outside of the eyebrow shape and keep them groomed for optimal appearance.

DOES IT INHIBIT HAIR GROWTH?

No, microblading/ombre powder brows does not inhibit hair growth and you will have to keep it tamed and groomed as usual

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Allow three hours for your permanent makeup appointment. Please plan accordingly.

AFTER I DELIVER MY BABY OR BREASTFEED, HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I CAN GET THE PROCEDURE?

It is suggested to wait at least three months after the delivery of a baby or nursing before you can schedule a procedure.

DO I NEED A TOUCH-UP?

It usually takes at least two sessions for desired results. Touch-ups may be necessary to achieve desired results as everyone heals differently and many factors can lead to varied results (and they are not included in the initial price). The first appointment is about structure and design. The touch-up is about seeing how the skin heals and retains pigment, as well as making any necessary adjustments to achieve better symmetry and volume. If you don’t feel the need for it, then it is not necessary.

HOW LONG WILL MY PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?

It should last UP TO 6 months to three years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. An annual color boost is recommended to refresh the tattoo. If the following applies to you, your tattoo will fade faster and you might have to come back for a touch-up sooner than expected (average 6-12 months).

  • Oily skin
  • Work out five to seven days/week consistently (sweat, salt, oil production)
  • Get chemical peels/facials/microdermabrasion/retinol (constant exfoliation)
  • Out in the sun (have an outdoorsy lifestyle) and/or use of tanning booth
  • Swim (exposure salt and chlorine)
  • Iron deficiency (i.e Anemic)
  • Frequent smoker
  • Certain medications will also increase fading

WHAT IS YOUR STERILIZATION PROCESS?

All needles are single-use, come in a sterilized package, and are disposed of after each client. Gloves and a mask are worn at all times during the procedure and disposed of after each client. Cavicide disinfectants are used in between every client.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

Permanent makeup aftercare is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions for the full 14 days healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we can not guarantee results.

Cosmetic tattoos take between four to six weeks to fully heal. At this time, the client may receive their touch-up if any color has faded, or if the client would like to add more definition to their tattoo.

The client may experience slight swelling and redness the day of the procedure; this is normal and typically fades within 24-48 hours. At this point, the client may take Tylenol if they feel any pain but should avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen as it can cause blood thinning.

  • Let the eyebrow tattoo DRY HEAL FOR 24-48 HOURS after the procedure.
  • Use Saline wipes or a cotton pad with Iukewarm water to gently clean the eyebrow tattoo two to three times a day after the procedure to keep the eyebrow tattoo clean for about three to four days.
  • After the 24-48 hours healing period lightly moisturize your brow tattoo if itchy or excessively dry with aftercare balm.
  • DO NOT go on any sunny vacations and avoid high sun exposure during the healing process, UV Rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo.
  • DO NOT use cleansers, soaps, or any other creams on your brow tattoo. Wash around the area using a cleaning cloth or makeup wipe.
  • DO NOT exercise and sweat for 10 days. Sweat contains salt and can infect and prematurely fade the color.
  • DO NOT run direct water on your brow in order not to wash out pigment.
  • DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin, or any petroleum-based products on the area.
  • DO NOT use any makeup, creams, peels, on the brows for two weeks.
  • DO NOT go into sauna's, pools, and steam rooms.
  • DO NOT get massages or facials or skin treatment during the healing process.
  • DO NOT go tanning and if you do cover your brow tattoo.
  • DO not use peels, retinol acids, or AHA's on the area for 30 days after the appointment, it will fade your tattoo Prematurely.
  • DO not use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo. This can darken, lighten, and distort the pigment.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT ONCE HEALED?

  • DO NOT expect your eyebrow tattoo to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a two-step sometimes multiple step process. It takes time.
  • BE PATIENT during your two-week healing process, your brows will change and appear different from day to day, THIS IS NORMAL.
  • Immediately after your procedure, the eyebrows will appear darker and more defined and this will last up to two weeks. Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, hair strokes may seem to disappear, and it may look wet and painted on. THIS IS NORMAL.
  • Around days four to five, you will experience scabbing and your brows may look dry and flakey. DO NOT PICK your scabs, let them fall off naturally. If scabbing gets picked off prematurely missing hair stokes will result and cause patchy brows.
  • Your eyebrow tattoo will take up to six to eight weeks to fully heal. When the scabbing comes off the hair strokes may seem faint, this is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the hair strokes will become clearer.
  • You may experience itchiness in the brows after the 10 days for up to two months due to the healing process of the dermal layer.
  • Not everyone's hair stoke brows can heal clean and crisp. Hair strokes for oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery, drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Also for those who bleed more, you may tend to need more touch-ups as the blood pushes the pigment out while we tattoo.
  • If having an MRI in the future, you must let the technician know that you have been tattooed with iron oxide pigments.
